Through the Darkness, Comes the Light

Beautiful, Wise Woman,
Let’s be honest: the magic of the holiday season isn’t created by mythical creatures—it’s created by women like you. (The quintessential invisible labor!)
This time of year can be a beautiful opportunity for connection and celebration. And it can also be one of the hardest times for women.
If you’re grieving this holiday season,
If you’re feeling exhausted,
If you’re overwhelmed,
If you’re angry,
If you’re burnt out,
You are not invisible; you are not alone.
Negative emotions can feel inconvenient or even shameful at times. They can make us feel powerless. But you have the power to bravely hold space for the darker sides of being human.
Though it may seem counterintuitive, when you channel your energy into facing your feelings rather than pushing them away, you make room for more light to shine through the cracks.
Hold space for the dark. Seek the light.
Saturday’s Solstice brings us the longest night of the year—a perfect opportunity to practice embracing the shadows, so we can make room for the light that follows.
Join us as an WW Insider for experiential practices and resources to help you hold space for your feelings and safely process through the darkness, creating space to embrace the moments of light. (I even created a video of a grounding practice for you!)
Take exceptional care of yourself,

Each step is a useful practice by itself or you could follow each step.
Step 1: Make the decision to proactively face your feelings.
This is the essential step. Express your feelings however you choose, but it must start with you making the brave choice to face them.
Feelings are simply a biochemical response to stimuli that have evolved to protect you. You can learn to face even the hardest emotions!
