Free & Abridged Version - Disrupt the Overwhelm: Rest, Recover & Reflect (Part 3)

Overwhelm.
This past week, the theme of overwhelm—driven by a great deal of uncertainty and change—has been a common thread among Wise Women.
The stressors in our personal lives are compounded and amplified by the larger shifts happening in the nation and world. This creates an undercurrent of instability that can affect our bodies, emotions, thoughts, and behaviors.
Uncertainty often triggers old survival strategies that once protected us but no longer serve us—panic, catastrophic thinking, control, self-criticism, rage, denial, or escape.
Whether you're feeling overwhelmed by changes and uncertainty on a personal, societal, or global level (or all of the above), it's crucial to pause and rest for a moment. In doing so, we disrupt our old survival patterns. Only from a place of regulation can we act from true wisdom and mindful intention.
We practiced this skill and wrapped up our January theme of Rest, Recover, & Reflect last week with our first WW Insider Gathering!
For those who missed it, I've edited the gathering into bite-sized pieces to help you take time for yourself.
Here’s what you'll find in the videos:
- An overview of January’s theme of Rest, Recover, & Reflect
- A restful grounding practice led by Sarah
- WW Insiders sharing their restful practices and wisdom
- An expressive art experience led by Sarah designed to disrupt the overwhelm and acknowledge your bad-ass self
- WW Insiders sharing their current obsessions
Whether you were able to attend live or watch the live recording, take a moment for yourself to rest, recover, and reflect on what a truly amazing woman you are.
Deep breaths. You've got this.
Note: Becoming a WW Insider requires a membership, which helps create a protected, supportive space free from misogynistic trolls and honors the value of our collective work. If the $5 membership is a barrier, please reach out—I’m happy to discuss options so you can still dive deeper with us.
Take exceptional care of yourself,
